Dear Friends,
As yesterday was a travel day, I am writing now to let you know that there may not be a daily devotional until sometime next week. We are with a circle of pastors for a few days of fellowship and teaching and the schedule does not easily accommodate the time to properly write and publish a daily devotional.
I am so grateful you are one of a circle of several thousand readers by whom EveryDay Life is enjoyed. I thank you for the daily joy of sharing some practical application of the wisdom of God’s Word, and enjoy receiving your comments along the way. I especially enjoy hearing how you have occasionally shared a devotional with a friend for whom you thought a particular one could be helpful and encouraging. Oft times those friends have subscribed to become regular readers of Everyday life, when you have recommended their doing so. In doing that, you become part of this ministry team to share the practical wisdom of God’s truth to others, and extend the growing reach of EveryDay Life. Over the last five years, EDL has become a increasing part of my joy in ministering to others.
These would be good mornings to browse the archive of more than 650+ EDL devotionals on a diversity of verses and practical topics. And might I suggest you choose a Scripture these next mornings that is meaningful to you and write a few thoughts of how you observe that verse working in your everyday life. I recommend that practice as a good daily discipline that provides the Holy Spirit an opportunity to speak personally to your heart.
Blessings! Allen Randolph Tuesday, October 18, 2011
